Barcelona news: Ernesto Valverde worried bomb could explode between Coutinho and team-mate

Coutinho joined the La Liga giants from Liverpool last month in a hotly-anticipated £142m deal.

And that switch came after years of the Brazilian being talked up as Iniesta’s long-term replacement.

Coutinho and Iniesta have both figured for Barcelona since Ernesto Valverde snared the 25-year-old playmaker.

And Iniesta has even spoken about his new team-mate in glowing terms while insisting he doesn’t feel threatened by his arrival.

The latest reports from Spain suggest all is not well between the two midfielders though.

According to Mi Otra Liga, relations between Coutinho and Iniesta are not as positive as they are presented in public..

And that ill-feeling has supposedly been sensed by other members of the Nou Camp dressing room

Valverde is said to have picked up on the problem and see it getting worse going forwards.

And Mi Otra Liga even claim he sees it as a ‘bomb’ that could explode at any time.

Valverde has the opportunity to give Iniesta the game time he craves because Coutinho is cup-tied for the Champions League.

However, that will not be the case next season and Valverde will be forced to pick between the duo more often.

Coutinho and Iniesta are apparently not the only Barcelona players in a collision course.

Gerard Pique and January signing Yerry Mina are allegedly not seeing eye-to-eye either.
