CHELSEA have upped the stakes with Real Madrid over a potential deal for Eden Hazard.
Chelsea want Gareth Bale and Dani Ceballos in exchange for Eden HazardReal Madrid, on the advice of head coach of Zinedine Zidane, are pursuing a swoop for Hazard.
Reports in Spain suggest Chelsea will only green light an exit for the Belgian superstar if they can get a couple of players in return to immediately fill the void.
Trace Sport exclusively revealed earlier this year that Real Madrid were preparing to offer Gareth Bale plus cash for Hazard.
But, according to Spanish publication Don Balon, Chelsea chiefs have asked the Spanish club’s president Florentino Perez to chuck midfielder Dani Ceballos into the mix as well.
Chelsea’s request has put the cat among the pigeons at the Bernabeu.
Don Balon claim Real Madrid chiefs are split between those who believe the two players combined are worth more than Hazard and those who think it is worth getting rid of fringe players to secure a deal.
Bale has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid after an injury-plagued 18 months that has seen him fall out of favour.
But the Wales international’s agent has shot down the speculation.
Jonathan Barnett said: ”Gareth is a
Real Madrid player and loves Real Madrid, and Real Madrid love Gareth.
