Following several criticisms over his hit single, ‘Wetin We Gain’ and how people suggested it promoted yahoo, Nigerian singer, Victor Ad, has once again come out to address the issue in yet another song.
While it is known that Nigerian music often lacks content, Nigerian music lovers however are very particular about condemning songs that promote violence. Fast rising singer, Victor Adere better known as Victor AD, not only received love but also backlash over his song, ‘Wetin We Gain’ as some people believed it was encouraging yahoo practices.
The singer who in a recent interview with we stated clearly that his song is not for yahoo boys, has once again come out to speak on the issue, using yet another song. In a video which he uploaded on his Instagram page, he indirectly stated that he only sang the minds of many and did not increase the theft of female undies for ritual purposes.

The singer who rose to the limelight with the now famous song, ‘Wetin We Gain’, has dropped yet another song titled ‘Tire You’. In the song which he features superstar singer Davido, Victor focuses yet again on poverty and the importance of being successful in life.
While to many people, this is just another “feel good” song, some others however might find this disturbing as it can easily be twisted into a song that promotes getting money by “any means necessary”.
Victor began his music career in early 2014. He has worked with several producer, Kulboybeat, Kizzybeatz, ID Clef, T Spize. Victor AD’s first musical release was “Jowo”. The song became Radio Continental’s theme song.
In 2017, Victor AD released “No Idea”. The music video for the song which was shot and directed by Cinema House Images, Director Dindu in late 2018 was endorsed by TV stations in Nigeria.
In 17 June 2018 Victor AD released his hit single Wetin We Gain and was later discovered by his Management “LONGITUDE PROMOTIONS” in 2018 which later landed him a Multi Million Naira deal to-with ETINS record and Longitude Promotions are to position victor’s career globally with respect to recording and Management/Promotion respectively. The music video of the song Wetin We Gain has garnered more than 6,000,000 million views on popular video platform YouTube so far.
On 26 of January Victor AD released his third hit single titled “Tire You” in which he featured multiple award winning Nigerian superstar Davido
He recently featured on and shutdown the O2 Arena stage for Davido’s 2019 concert.
